Meet Sinclair Hugh: BEK TV Producer/Director, Videographer, Editor

His skills were quickly recognized, and he was hired as an Instructor's Assistant at the school, where he not only honed his craft but also contributed to the education of future media professionals. During this time, Sinclair also ventured into entrepreneurship, running his own video editing business for three years, further solidifying his expertise.

In 2014, Sinclair embarked on a new chapter in his career by relocating to North Dakota to join the local CBS News affiliate (KXMB) in Bismarck. Initially employed in commercial production, his dedication and versatility soon led him to the news division, where he played a pivotal role in the launch of the “Good Day Dakota” morning news program. Sinclair's responsibilities ranged from operating cameras and editing to audio engineering and directing, and later Co-Production Manager.

However, life took an unexpected turn in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the world. Sinclair made the selfless decision to become a stay-at-home dad, prioritizing quality time with his children and allowing his wife to focus on her career. For three years, he embraced his role as a dedicated father and husband.

Driven by his passion for broadcasting and storytelling, Sinclair decided to return to the industry. In pursuit of his career aspirations, he joined BEK and assumed the role of Producer, Videographer, and Editor. Commitment to excellence and his ability to wear many hats also led him to contribute to commercial production projects.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Sinclair's love for music, shared especially with his children, serves as a source of joy in his life. He's an avid fan of Formula1 racing, a competitive sim racer, and a dedicated gamer.
