BEK Awards Spring Scholarship and Grants
The CPP was established by the BEK Board of Directors to address both current and future community needs. It supports local organizations working to strengthen the communities within BEK’s service area. Recipients are selected based on their project’s impact and alignment with BEK’s mission of community advancement.
The Board received 15 applications and selected seven recipients. They are:
- Kidder County Council on Aging
- Linton Senior Center
- Maple Valley School
- Morton Mandan Public Library
- Strasburg Fire Protection District
- Tuttle Lions Club
- Wishek Elementary School
Grant applications are reviewed and awarded twice a year in the spring and fall. The next application deadline date is September 30, 2026.

The BEK Board of Directors also selected nine high school seniors out of 13 applicants to receive a BEK Scholarship for their first semester in college. All applicants are BEK members, BEK Fiber customers or the dependents of one.

- Josephine Legge, Spiritwood - Barnes County North High School
- Kaydra Kleppe, Napoleon - Napoleon High School
- Lauren Larsen, Valley City - Valley City High School
- Berkley Frantz, Wishek - Wishek High School
