Debate on Gender Ideology and the FDA's Pill Policy
Bursch addressed topics such as pronoun use in the workplace, supporting those struggling with gender identity, defending objective truth, and the Christian perspective on loving others and human sexuality. He highlighted the need to stand by Christian values in the face of persecution and provided advice on responding to questions with factual information and spiritual guidance. ADF's mission in defending religious liberty, free speech, parental rights, marriage, family, and the right to life was also emphasized.
Our second guest: Dr. Grazie Pozo Christie, MD, host of "Conversations with Consequences" and a practicing physician in the Miami area, highlighted the dangers of the FDA's recent decision to remove safeguards around the abortion pill, mifepristone. She pointed out that the media is not adequately covering the issue and discussed how FDA regulations surrounding mifepristone have been progressively relaxed since 2016, culminating in the ability for women to obtain the abortion pill via mail and virtual appointments. Dr. Christie emphasized the importance of listening to the testimony of a woman who has taken the abortion pill at home to understand the real-world implications. Questions were raised about the motives behind the aggressive push for expanded access to the abortion pill and the potential risks involved.
And finally, for the Lighter Side, we laugh at ridiculous back-handed compliments that are really insults with suggestions on how to respond.
