Wisdom From the Past and Present: St. Hildegard's Healing & Ford CEO on Tariffs and U.S. Auto Prices
Leila Lawler joined the show to discuss her new book, St. Hildegard’s Garden: Recipes and Remedies for Healing Body and Soul. She shared the incredible legacy of Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th-century mystic, healer, and Doctor of the Church whose holistic health teachings remain. Curt Hopkins, CEO of MCQ Markets, joined the show to discuss how Ford Motor Company is navigating the effects of President Trump’s proposed tariffs. Hopkins explained that thanks to Ford’s strong domestic production—over 80% of its vehicles are made in the U.S.—the company expects only a modest 1% to 1.5% increase in vehicle prices through the end of 2025. Hopkins highlighted Ford’s strategic planning, including efforts to clear pre-tariff inventory and extend special pricing promotions through July 4. These moves, he said, help shield consumers from major cost hikes and support American manufacturing jobs. His message to viewers was clear: Ford’s proactive approach means Americans can still buy new vehicles without feeling a heavy financial burden from the tariffs.
