Mass Shooters & Strong Parenting Solutions, Rep. Burchett

Burchett points out the importance of parents getting involved in the day-to-day lives of their children, and why it’s integral to protect our kids from what's going on in the classroom. “People need to wake up and stop worrying about offending everyone,” he advises. Our nation has turned its back on everything we were raised to believe, and it’s time to figure out how to be bold, brave, and courageous for the sake of keeping our kids safe.

Takeaways:

  • Jesus wasn’t weak, but a bold, brave carpenter who was unafraid to drive the money changers out of the temple - we must do the same
  • Take the time to play with your kids, walk with your kids, and have meaningful conversations with them regularly
  • You don’t have to spend a lot of money to impress your children when what they are seeking is quality time
  • The media, like Vanity Fair magazine, attacked Rep. Burchett for his common sense response to the Nashville school shooting

More on Rep Burchett:

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., a Presbyterian, has been a vocal figure in the political landscape, representing Tennessee's 2nd District. His recent comments following the Nashville shooting, where he expressed skepticism about Congress's ability to prevent such tragedies, stating their involvement might "mess things up," align with his approach to governance. Burchett's tenure includes 16 years in the state legislature, with four years in the State House and 12 years in the State Senate. He currently serves on several House Committees, including Oversight and Accountability; Foreign Affairs; and Transportation and Infrastructure.

During the 117th Congress, Burchett was involved in significant legislative activities, sponsoring 23 bills and cosponsoring 201 others. Three of these bills, focused on veteran support and addressing neurodegenerative diseases, were signed into law by President Biden. These include the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act, the Patient Advocate Tracker Act, and the Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Act.

In the 118th Congress, Burchett's work on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability aligns with his commitment to government transparency. His role on the House Foreign Affairs Committee involves holding international adversaries accountable, and on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, he advocates for fiscally responsible approaches to modernizing America's infrastructure.

Burchett has also expressed concerns about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), following reports from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He has called for more government transparency regarding UFO sightings and believes in the importance of open records for government integrity. Beyond his political work, Burchett has interests in metal detecting and Bigfoot. Notably, during his time in the state legislature, he passed the “Roadkill Bill,” allowing for the consumption of animals killed in vehicle collisions.
