More on Ed Van Buskirk:

Van Buskirk is the heart and soul behind the 'If U Love Me' initiative, a Catholic non-profit focused on promoting the Ten Commandments in parishes and schools across the nation. Inspired by the Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 15, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments," Van Buskirk's journey to founding this initiative began in 2009 with a life-changing realization. Despite being a lifelong Catholic, he discovered he could not recall all Ten Commandments from memory, which sparked a deep reflection on his life and faith.

This epiphany led Van Buskirk to sell his successful IT company, We Are IT, in 2017, dedicating his life to spreading the wisdom of the Ten Commandments. He wrote a book titled "God's Recipe for a Wonderful Life" and created an 11-week video study course to share his insights. The course, endorsed by Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr. of Kansas City, aims to present the Commandments in a manner that emphasizes their relevance and importance in guiding personal and familial life towards harmony, joy, and true freedom.

Van Buskirk's approach to the Ten Commandments is founded on the belief that they are not merely a set of rules but a divine guide for living a fulfilling life. He argues that, much like road rules enable safe driving, the Commandments provide a framework for living that benefits individuals and society as a whole. He suggests that the current societal challenges and moral confusions can be attributed to the erosion of these fundamental principles from public consciousness and education.

The 'If U Love Me' initiative, based out of Kansas City, Missouri, has reached its fifth anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its mission. The initiative has expanded to include "God's Recipe for School and Family," a program offering resources like plaques, educational videos, and activity-filled family kits to schools and families, encouraging the practical application of the Commandments in daily life.

Ed Van Buskirk's efforts reflect a deep commitment to restoring the Ten Commandments as a cornerstone of ethical and spiritual education. Through speaking engagements, retreats, homeschool events, and conferences, he continues to advocate for the integral role of the Commandments in fostering a just, peaceful, and loving society.
