Inspired by the Gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 15, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments," Van Buskirk's journey to founding this initiative began in 2009 with a life-changing realization. Despite being a lifelong Catholic, he discovered he could not recall all Ten Commandments from memory, which sparked a deep reflection on his life and faith.
This epiphany led Van Buskirk to sell his successful IT company, We Are IT, in 2017, dedicating his life to spreading the wisdom of the Ten Commandments. He wrote a book titled "God's Recipe for a Wonderful Life" and created an 11-week video study course to share his insights. The course, endorsed by Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr. of Kansas City, aims to present the Commandments in a manner that emphasizes their relevance and importance in guiding personal and familial life towards harmony, joy, and true freedom.
