Ho-Chunk, Inc. is an economic development corporation owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. Founded in 1994, the corporation was established to drive economic self-sufficiency and job opportunities for the Winnebago Tribe. Its creation marked a significant move by the tribe to diversify its investments beyond gaming, which had been a primary source of revenue since the early 1990s when the tribe opened a casino on tribal land near Sloan, Iowa.
