Faith, Service, and Innovation on the Open Range

Anne shares her story of growing up in North Dakota before becoming a missionary in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where she experienced both hardship and hope while serving others. After returning home, she became deeply involved with Heaven’s Helpers Soup Café, helping meet the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless in her community.

Anne also explains how the COVID-19 era stirred her to step into public service and political involvement. Driven by a desire to stand for her beliefs and serve her neighbors, she became active in local politics and now serves on the Lincoln, North Dakota City Commission and with District 8 GOP.

Dr. Jake Schmitz then reflects on the passing of James Van Der Beek and offers a critical look at how the traditional medical system approaches cancer treatment and screening. He challenges viewers to think beyond reacting to disease and instead focus on prevention, wellness, and the steps people can take to reduce the risk of cancer before it starts.

In Tech Ranch, the spotlight turns to Tethral, an intelligent home platform built to understand context, not just commands. Instead of making users manage every device one by one, Tethral brings devices, routines, and personal preferences together in one place, creating a smarter home that works smoothly without constant attention.

This episode of Open Range brings together faith, compassion, health, and innovation in a way that informs, challenges, and inspires.
